Hey, I finally managed to get a video out before midnight! Go me. I've never tried any of these tricks, but they look like fun -- particularly the one with the baking soda.
I watched the science tricks, and though I'm not a cook by any means, I think there's a diff between baking soda (what's required for the trick) and baking powder. Be sure to use the correct one for your experiment. I admire your commitment to caption a video a day!
Well, baking powder is just baking soda plus cornstarch. I don't think the cornstarch should make too much of a difference one way or the other, but I used just plain baking soda and it worked beautifully.
Fill two indistinguishable glasses with water. Add two tablespoons of salt to the water in one glass and blend well.
